The 80/20 Psoriasis Framework

The core Smart Psoriasis Life framework: control the few levers that matter most, then get back to living.

Key takeaways

  • This is a lifestyle system, not a cure promise.
  • Stress is the first lever because it has been John's biggest personal trigger.
  • The free workbook is the entry point for finding your personal 20%.

What Smart Psoriasis Life means

Smart Psoriasis Life is built around one practical idea: Control the 20%. Live the other 80%.

For me, that means finding the smallest repeatable set of habits that helps me keep psoriasis more controlled without turning my whole life into a psoriasis project.

This is personal experience, not medical advice. Psoriasis is an immune-mediated disease, and organisations such as NIAMS explain that it involves the immune system and rapid skin-cell growth. Medical care still matters.

The updated Trifecta

The old Smart Psoriasis Diet focused heavily on food. Food still matters to me, but the order has changed.

The updated Beating Psoriasis Trifecta is: stress and mental health management, Vitamin D/sunlight handled safely, and 80/20 anti-inflammatory eating.

The American Academy of Dermatology lists stress among common psoriasis triggers, and a systematic review on psychological stress and psoriasis supports taking the stress-skin connection seriously while still being careful about overclaiming.

How to use the site

Read the framework first, then go deeper into the guide that matches your current weak point: stress, sleep, Vitamin D, diet, supplements, or skincare.

Use the free 30-second reset workbook to track the pattern rather than guessing. The daily tracker is deliberately small: stress, sleep, skin, reset basics, trigger code, and a tiny note.

The paid book will later give the full 60-day sequence. The site gives you the evidence-backed pieces. The book puts them in order.

Medical disclaimer

Everything here comes from John Redfern's personal experience living with psoriasis for over 30 years, plus linked sources where medical facts are discussed. This is not medical advice. Speak with your doctor or dermatologist before changing medication, supplements, diet, sun exposure, skincare, or mental health treatment.
